Foreman/Assistant Foreman (San Jose)
Basic Function: To supervise and participate in all activities related to the accomplishment of specific jobs.
Scope of Responsibility: As delegated by the supervisor and general manager. Efficiently carry out painting and paint related duties in a professional workmanlike manner. Insure that all duties are carried out properly and within timeframe prescribed by job sheets, field supervisor.
Specialized Knowledge and Experience: Must have a clear understanding of job-site safety. Must have the ability to use and move ladders and power equipment (i.e. sanders, sprayers, etc.). Must have a clear understanding of preparation procedures (i.e. sanding, caulking, sealing, etc.). Must also have ability to document daily activities. Must also be able to efficiently manage painters and all tasks involved with completing jobs. Must be able to effectively communicate with customer in a professional and courteous manner.
Duties and Requirements:
- Punctual.
- 5 years minimum experience.
- Have own insured vehicle equipped for ladders.
- Clean DMV & current drivers license.
- Bi-lingual.
- Cell phone.
- Have a full set of production tools with you at all times.
- Work a full 8-hour shift, five days per week with half hour lunch break and a fifteen-minute coffee break unless otherwise specified.
- Report to supervisor with any quality control issues prior to commencement of specific tasks, which should wait until issues are, addressed (i.e. rotted wood, uneven drywall, etc).
- Make sure all tools and equipment are cleaned up at the end of each day.
- Keep an accurate account of time on specific jobs via timecard.
- Obey all our company employment policies.
- Record job sheets accurately.
- Keep job site sign on all current jobs. Return them after completion.
- Keep vehicle stocked with appropriate equipment.
- Order materials as needed for job with office approval.
- Work overtime when job scope of work and schedule require additional time.
- Deal with customer on job-site. Report any concerns or problems to supervisor or general manager immediately.
- Treat customer and other workmen with respect and dignity.
- Place appropriate personnel on specific tasks in order to efficiently complete the scope of work.
